Beatific typographic chestnuts

Many thanks to all who responded (warmly in fact!) to my query about
Warde's book, the Crystal Goblet.

Some of the backchannel responses were really interesting.  Someone
mentioned that BW gave a talk at the Library School once here at Columbia;
I will look into it, but as you might all have guessed, the library is a
shambles in the absense of anyone guarding it.  Really, it's kind of a
disgrace-- all those books just laying around, not returned to proper
places on the shelf or anything...

Someone else mentioned that Warde's crystal goblet is in fact intended to
be an invisible goblet; that's why the sender disliked the book.  Hmmm.
Well, the artist titles suggested by another poster to the whole list
will be a good antidote.
