[AMIA-L] I need your help

Hello, I recently discovered the AMIA website and organization. I am
currently attending college in Los Angeles for film and television
production with an emphasis in editing. For many years, I have been
interested in archiving and restoring film and television. I've been a
member of the MTR for many years and have done research at the UCLA film
archive on many occasions and I collect various pieces of  footage as
well.

For a class I am taking this quarter, I am required to complete a term
paper on my ultimate career choice, that brings me here. I am interested
in being an archivist and restoration technician for television and radio
broadcasts and film as well. I need to gather information regarding the
various job titles and descriptions of the restoration/archivist industry
as well as some general information about average starting salaries and
pay ranges.

Any information or guides to information are welcomed and appreciated.
Also I could use any information regarding degree programs that are
offered at various colleges and universities all over the world.
